Pori-Raj starring ‘Gunin’ gets censor clearance

‘Gunin’, the first film starring controversial and popular actress Pori Moni and her husband actor Shoriful Raj has received clearance certificate from the Bangladesh Film Censor Board (BFCB).

The film directed by Gias Uddin Selim received the clearance on February 20 and booked to hit the theaters shortly.

Raj and Pori Moni will appear in the central characters ‘Ramij’ and ‘Rabeya’ in the film while Azad Abul Kalam will act the Gunin character.

Earlier, the actress informed media that she fell in love with Shoriful Raj while shooting on the set of Gias Uddin Selim’s film ‘Gunin’ and got married last year. 

Raj also published the news of Pori Moni’s pregnancy on his Facebook wall and thanked her for the ‘great event of his life.’

Pori Moni, one of the most popular heroines of the Dhaliwood, also published a photo on Facebook with her husband after the primary test.

Apart from the popular artists, Dilara Zaman, Iresh Jaker, Mustafa Monwar, Shilpi Sharkar Apu, Jhuna Chowdhury will be also visible in the film. 

Director Gias Uddin said Gunin has received the censor certificate which is a good news for the whole team.

“Moreover, some people of censor board also told me that they really liked the film. Shortly, people will be able to watch the movie in theatres. Besides, the movie will be also released in Chorki app. I believe, people will enjoy the movie.”, he said.

The story of the film was inspired by a short story written by the Hasan Azizul Huq who was mentor of his academic life, Gias said.

“Turning short-story into a cinema is quite challenging but I tried to do that with bravery. Writings of Hasan sir are realistic; I really enjoyed doing the movie.”, he stated.
