After long 15 years, popular actor Riaz and actress Zakia Bari Mamo will appear together in the upcoming film “Radio”.
They lastly acted together in the big screen film “Daruchini Dip” in 2007.
The movie will depict the contribution of Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra, which massively inspired the freedom fighters and others during the country’s Liberation War.
“The story of my film proceeds from first March, 1971 to seventh March, 1971. Agreements were signed with the actor and actress yesterday; now the shooting will begin,” film director Annano Mamun told The Business Post.
“I have tried to portray the role of Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra in our Liberation War. At that time, radio inspired and boosted up the confidence of the people of Bangladesh. I have tried to show that in the film. I won’t disclose the role of Riaz and Mamo now. But I hope the audience will enjoy it. We will start the shooting soon.”, he added.
Besides, Riaz Uddin Ahamed Siddique, commonly known as Riaz said the film is based on an admirable subject; hopefully with proper cinematography the whole team will be able to present a worthy movie.
Model and actress Mamo said that “I want to present a good work as the film has a nice story with a great idea. Despite working together in some dramas in past few years, I Will be working with Riaz bhai in the large screen after a long time. I never worked with him after the ‘Daruchini Dip’”
The cinema will use a radio that was originally collected from a freedom fighter, director Annano said, adding that the freedom fighter had preserved the device since 1971 war with care and memories.
