Anirban debut as a director on big screen

Indian actor Anirban Bhattacharya has won hearts with his tremendous work in ‘Mandar’. ‘Mandar’ is a crime thriller drama streaming television series directed by Anirban Bhattacharya. Not just acting, this young artist did excellent work in directing as well. Anirban Bhattachary has been praised everywhere for adding a new dimension to his work. After success in ‘Mandar’ this time the young actor is going to make his debut as a director on the big screen.

Kolkata-based production house Sri Venkatesh Films (SVF) has announced the release dates of eight of its films on last 27th February. Where they announced about ‘Vallabhpurer Rupkotha’ directed by Anirban.

Other films include ‘Hatyapuri’ from Feluda series, Srijit Mukherjee’s ‘X Equals to Love’, Arindam Sheel’s ‘Khela Jakhan’, and ‘Byomkesh’.

Anirban will also be seen in the role of Feluda in the movie ‘Hatyapuri’. It will be released on December 23. ‘Vallabhpurer Rupkotha’ will release on 21st October.

“I have always been a fan of horror-comedy or satire,” said Anirban. ‘Vallabhpurer Rupkotha’ will be a mind-blowing picture. However, there will be surprises. My last work (Mandar) highlighted the dark side of man, but this time it’s the other way around.” He added.

Thus it can be said that this time audiences might expect a different approach for this film from Anirban.

The film will be based on Badal Sarkar’s famous play ‘Vallabhpur Roopkatha’. The screenplay revolves around two characters from the royal family, Bhupathi Roy, the last heir of the Roy family, and his servant Manohar.
