Angshu makes his first web-series ‘Tirandaj’

‘No Dorai’ famed director Taneem Rahman Angshu for the first time has made a web series titled ‘Tirandaj’, which is expected to release on streaming platform Bioscope next month.

The shooting of the web series has been completed recently.

Small screen actors Ziaul Haque Polash and Khairul Bashar are playing the lead roles in the web series, Angshu has confirmed the news to The Business Post.

“The official poster, teaser and trailer of the web series is releasing this month. We are hopeful that we will be able to release the series next month on Bioscope.”

“This is a story of a relationship and how it gets ruined for professional jealousy and betrayal. The story of the series revolves around an emerging model and two friends. Polash and Bashar are playing the role of two friends. The series will portray how our relationship gets bitter when we try to put work before our relationship. This is a story of fashion industry and its dark side,” he added regarding the plot of the series.

Angshu made his debut as a director mainly through TV commercials. The director came into the limelight with the film ‘No Dorai’ which was made in the regional dialect of Chattogram. The film also won a National Film Award.

Angshu also garnered much acclaim for his seven-day special fiction ‘Golpo Golpo Khela’ for Eid-ul-Fitr and ‘Sahasika’ for Eid-ul-Azha.
