The 15th edition of the International Children’s Film Festival Bangladesh 2022, which is now taking place at the Bangladesh Film Archive in Dhaka, will feature a workshop on filmmaking through smartphones today.

The festival premises remain abuzz with jubilant students and their parents as they got a scope to enjoy a variety of local and foreign films.

Filmmaker Raka Noshin Nawar will conduct a workshop on filmmaking with smartphones for ‘little filmmakers’ from across the country at 11:00am.

The festival will also screen ‘My Father Superhero’ (India) on the day.

In the afternoon, Evelyn(Australia), Fount (Turkey), Framed Memories (Malaysia), Funfair(Iran), Goads (Greece), Greece Treasures (Latvia), Gurru (Spain), Hoover (Estonia), Horror Oink-Oink (Russia), Hunger (Brazil), Solitaire (Italy), Stick hit the fan (Croatia) and The Flowers of Roadside (Bangladesh) will be screened at 2:00pm.

Meow or Never (United Kingdom), My Grandma Matilde (Mexico), Neighbours (Switzerland), and Nostalgia (Portugal) will be screened at the festival at 4:00pm.

The last screening will be at 6:00pm where Crumb(Russia), Farm and Landscape With Church (Estonia), In My Dreams (Turkey), Lignum Love (Poland), Moles (Estonia), Peel (Russia), Power of Unity (India) and Rusalka (Estonia) will be shown.

The seven-day festival will show 117 films for children from 38 countries around the world. In addition to film shows, there will be workshops, celebrity talk shows, and seminars for children and young filmmakers. Although there is no entry fee for watching movies, wearing a mask will be considered as a ticket for the festival like last year.
