Hoichoi shares teaser of women centric web series ‘Sabrina’

Streaming platform Hoichoi has shared the teaser of the web series titled ‘Sabrina’, directed by Ashfaque Nipun on Tuesday marking the International Women’s Day. Actress Mehazabien Chowdhury and Nazia Haque Orsha have played the titular role in this series.

The cast and details of the series was announced on Tuesday in a press conference. Nipun said, “It is important for me to tell stories that are consistent with our society and leaves a deep impact on the minds of the audience. Sabrina is something special to me for many reasons. First, it is a woman-centered story that is not very common in our country. I believe that the audience will love my work as they have loved before.”

Mehazabien is making her web series debut through this series. She said, “As an actor, I always want to work on screenplays that focus on women’s feelings and life. Sabrina tells a story that is not just about a woman, but about all the women in our society. I am waiting to see how our audiences take the web series.”

At the starting of the teaser, Mehazabien is seen as a doctor wearing an apron, named Sabrina. In another shot, Orsha is seen playing the role of a housewife whose name is also Sabrina. Later, it was revealed in the teaser that it is not just a story about a woman named Sabrina but also it is the story of every woman in our society.

The web series also stars Intekhab Dinar, Hasan Masood, Runa Khan, Yash Rohan, Dr Ejaz, Faruk Ahmed, Monir Khan Shimul, Nader Chowdhury and Syed Zaman Shaon in various roles.
