Chumki, Nadia make Tollywood debut with ‘Sunetra Sundaram’

Bangladeshi actress Farzana Chumki and Sallha Khanam Nadia is all set for their Tollywood debut with film ‘Sunetra Sundaram’ directed by Indian filmmaker Shiv Ram Sharma.

Tollywood actress Parno Mitra will be seen alongside them and will play the title role named Sunetra. Actor Somraj Maity will be playing opposite Parno.

According to Anandabazar Patrika, Nadia and Chumki will play pivotal roles in the film.

The story of ‘Sunetra Sundaram’ focuses on the misery of working women on the local train due to the lack of hygienic toilet outside.

Access to toilets is limited for working women in Kolkata City and other areas in India. Even they could not go to the toilet twice a day. That’s why they suffered from kidney diseases. The film will depicts these issues.

Shiv Ram Sharma told to Anandabazar Patrika, “I have seen my wife faced this problem due to the shortage of toilets outside. Many working women have to go through this kind of problems every day. Seeing and knowing all these events, I am inspired to make the film.”

The shooting of the film is going to start from March 23 in Kolkata. Chumki and Nadia will go to India a day before to take part in the shooting.
