Singer Asif Akbar has signed a contract with Sahas Publications for his biographical book ‘Akbar Fifty Not Out’.
Asif Akbar and Nazmul Huda Ratan, head of Sahas Publications, inked the deal at a function in Dhaka on Thursday.
Sohel Atol is compiling the biographic events of Asif and Mostafiz Karigar designed its cover.
Sahas Publications plans to launch the book through a grand ceremony on March 31. An audio version of the book will also be available, said the publisher.
The signing ceremony was live-streamed on Asif ‘s Facebook page.
Asif Akbar said, “This biography book ‘Akbar Fifty Not Out’ will cover all the known and unknown stories of my life. The book will also have many controversial topics. Writer Sohail Atal has interviewed about 200 people over the past nine months. He travelled different places for this purpose.”
“Asif Akbar’s life is very dynamic. That’s why it took time to bring out the story of his life. ” said Sohel Atol.
Publisher Nazmul Huda Ratan said, “Many are curious about the life of Asif as he doesn’t lead a typical one and it made Sahas Publications interested to publish the book ‘Akbar Fifty Not Out’.”
“We have plans to publish the book simultaneously from Kolkata. An English version of the book is also likely to be published,” he added.
