Joy Filmfare Awards Bangla 2021, the Bangla edition of the Indian prestigious Filmfare Awards, is set to honour the winners on March 17, 2022 in Kolkata.

Joy Filmfare Awards Bangla has nominated four brilliant Bangladeshi artistes.

Jaya Ahsan has been nominated for the Best Actress (Popular) and Best Actress (Critics) categories for her role in the movie, “Binisuto”, directed by Atanu Ghosh.

Mosharraf Karim got his nomination as ‘Best Actor (Critics)’ for his performance in “Dictionary”. This is his first nomination for a prominent Indian award. Mosharraf made his debut in Tollywood with “Dictionary.”

Bratya Basu directorial “Dictionary” has been nominated under the category of Best Film (Critics)’ as well.

Bangladeshi lyricist Asif Iqbal is nominated as ‘Best lyricist’ for penning the song “Mayar Kangal” for the film “Olpo Holeo Sotti”. Asif made his debut as a lyricist in an Indian film with “Mayar Kangal.”

Playback vocalist Mahtim Sakib got his nomination as the Best Playback Singer (Male) category for voicing “Taakey Olpo Kachhe Dakchhi” for the film “Prem Tame”.

For Mosharraf Karim, Asif Iqbal and Mahtib Sakib this is their first time to get the nomination at the Joy Filmfare Awards Bangla.

But for Jaya Ahsan, she already won the Joy Filmfare Award (Bangla) for Best Actress (Critics) for the films, “Bijoya” and “Robibar” at Filmfare Awards (Bangla) 2020. She had also won the Best Actress award in the 2018 iteration of the event, for her role in “Bishorjon”.
