All television channels in Bangladesh will telecast the movie ‘Tungiparar Miya Bhai,’ based on the early life of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, celebrating the 102nd birth anniversary of Bangabandhu.
The channels are airing the movie at directive issued by the Ministry of Cultural Affairs. The ministry issued a circular signed by Deputy Secretary Muhammad Maqbool Hossain in this regard on March 10.
The film will also be screened at all secondary schools and colleges by July this year.
The film features various events such as childhood, adolescence and youth of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Directed by Selim Khan, the film features Shanto Khan as young Bangabandhu and Prarthona Fardin Dighi as Bangamata Fazilatunnesa Mujib. Shapla Media presented the film and Shamim Ahamed Roni wrote the screenplay.
The movie also stars Dilara Zaman, Naznin Hasan Chumki, and Maznun Mizan among others.
The film was released in April last year.
Earlier, the film was seen at the Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi on August 8, last year, as part of celebration of the 91st birthday of Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib.
