An exhibition of artworks by underprivileged children titled `Bangladesh in My Eyes’ and their theatrical performance titled `Let’s Go Alone’ will begin at Galerie Zoom of Alliance Française de Dhaka today.
Alliance Française de Dhaka and Action for Social Development (ASD) are hosting the event on the occasion of Francophonie Week. The exhibition will begin at 5:30pm.
Action for Social Development is a non-profit organisation founded in 1988.
The exhibition `Bangladesh in My Eyes’ will feature 20 paintings of these disadvantaged children. The children have brought the image of a positive Bangladesh in the artworks.
The play `Let’s Go Alone’ tells of poverty, child marriage, child trafficking, harassment and humiliation in the workplace, self-reliance through. The play is made in a participatory manner and was directed by a team of DCHR project officials and children of Anand Nibas.
After the inaugural ceremony, the exhibition will remain open to all from 3:00pm to 9:00pm till April 1.
