Dhallywood superstar Shakib Khan-starrer government-funded film ‘Golui’ is going to see its country release on this Eid-ul-Fitr.
Director SA Haque Olike confirmed the news to The Business Post on Monday.
The film has received a government grant of Tk 60 lakh for the financial year 2020-21. This is the first grant film starring Shakib Khan. Actress Puja Cherry for the first time has acted opposite Shakib Khan. The film is based on the story of love and the lost tradition of rural Bengal.
In the film, Shakib is playing the role of a young man from the village name Lalu. For this character, Shakib brought a huge change in his outlook.
Regarding release of this film, director Olike said, “It’s confirmed that the film is going to be released on this Eid. The teaser and trailer of the film will be released in this April during the Ramadan. We have already started the hall bookings for the release of the film.”
Along with Shakib Khan and Puja Cherry, the film also stars Azizul Hakim, Shamu Chowdhury, Jhuna Chowdhury and others.
The shooting of ‘Golui’ took place in Jamthal Sadarghat of Madarganj in Jamalpur. Khorshed Alam Khasru is the co-producer of the government-funded film.
