After ‘Gunin’s success in theatres, Giasuddin Selim’s ‘Paap Punno’ will be hitting cinemas on this Eid-ul-Fitr. The poster of much anticipated film ‘Paap Punno’ was unveiled on Tuesday.
The poster features the silhouette of a man, who appears to be in prison. The poster has already created hype on social media.
Actor Siam Ahmed posted a picture of the poster on Facebook and wrote, “This Eid will be a reckoning of sins and virtues.”
Giasuddin Selim has confirmed the news to The Business Post.
“This is a story of how people pay the price of their sins in their lifetime or how people sometimes pay the price of sins they didn’t commit. It is a love story in a rural setting with a mysterious twist in the end. Chanchal Chowdhury will be the main protagonist in the film and Farzana Chumki will play the role of his wife. The story of the film will revolve around Chanchal, Afsana, Siam, Shumi and Chumki,” said Selim.
“I focus on love stories because I believe, life is nothing without love. We have put all our heart into this film,” he added.
The shooting of the film was started in August 2019 and was completed in September in the same year.
Through this film, Afsana Mimi came back to acting in cinemas after ‘Priyotomeshu’ directed by Humayun Ahmed, which was released on 2009. The film stars Chanchal Chowdhury, Afsana Mimi, Siam Ahmed, Farzana Chumki, Mamunur Rashid, Gausul Alam Shaon, Fazlur Rahman Babu, and Shahnaz Sumi in vital roles.
