On the occasion of celebrating the 51st Independence Day and National Day, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) arranged a day-long elaborated programme at two separate venues on March 26. The first part of the celebration was held at National Martyrs’ Memorial at Savar where children participated in art competitions through on-spot registration. Besides, a cultural programme featuring discussion, music, recitation, dance performance and acrobatic show was held in the venue.
The second part of the BSA’s day-long programme was held on its Segun Bagicha premises. The programme featured discussion and cultural programme. In the cultural part, Biswajit Ray, Yasmin Ali, Suchitra Sutradhar, Ema, Linu Billah, Agun, Rafiqul Islam, Sujit Mustafa rendered solo songs, while Mir Barkat, Asim Saha, Kazi Mahtab Sumon, Jayanta Chattopadhyay, Kabi Minar Mansur recited poems. Artistes of BSA presented acrobatic show, while Colours of Heel, Dibya sangskritik Sangothon, Dirty Nrityalaya performed group dances.
On the other hand, Dhaka Sangskritik Dal, BSA’s Baul troupe, BSA Bhauaiya Dal, Govt Music College, BSA Protishrutisheel Dal, BSA Children Music troupe presented chorus songs at the event.
