Shakib to share screen with US actress in ‘Rajkumar’

King Khan famed Dhalywood actor Shakib Khan declared his new film titled ‘Rajkumar’. This time the actor is going to share screen with American actress Courtney Coffey.

A special Muhurat was arranged by the film’s producer SK Films on the occasion of Shakib Khan’s birthday at Marina Convention Hall center in New York City on March 28.

American actress Courtney Coffey will be seen acting opposite of Shakib Khan in ‘Rajkumar’. Shakib Khan introduced the actress at the Muhurat function of the film. She never worked on any Bangla film before. Thus, she will make her debut in Bangla film with ‘Rajkumar’. Courtney Coffey expressed her excitement in the Muhuraat.

The film will be produced by Shakib Khan’s production house SK Films, while Himel Ashraf will direct the film. Besides, two expatriate Bangladeshis Zakaria Masood and Kazi Riton will be working in this film as co-producers.

Courtney Coffey has been selected for the cast through auditions among more than half a hundred American actresses.

Regarding the film Shakib Khan said, “The film will be released not only in Bangladesh but also in America, London, Middle East, Canada, India, and some other countries too.”

“The team started the project having this mindset,” he added.

It is expected that shooting for the film would begin in the US in the first week of July and go through August.

Shakib Khan has been in the US for about five months, since mid-November. Although he does not want to stay there permanently, he is yet to clarify when he would return home.
