The teaser of Nuhash Humayun’s horror series ‘Pett Kata Shaw’ has been released on Tuesday. Chorki released the teaser of the series.
‘Pett Kata Shaw’ will be a four-episode horror series based on popular folk ghost stories and myths. The episodes of the series are planned to be released every Thursday in April at 7:59 pm on Chorki.
So, the first episode of the series, ‘Ei Building e Meye Nishedh’ will be released on April 7 followed by ‘Mishty Kichu’ on April 14, ‘Loke Bole’ on April 21, and ‘Nishir Daak’ on April 18. ‘Pett Kata Shaw’ is Nuhash Humayun’s first project with Chorki.
Nuhash Humayun shared a post ‘Cinegolpo’ and wrote, “Introducing ‘Pett Kata Shaw’ Mishtir dokan e jinn ashe. Maach kinle petni ashe/ Nishir daak, khola chul.../ Classic Bangla ghost stories with a modern twist. Coming soon on Chorki.”
The name ‘Pett Kata Shaw’ is not a usual choice for a horror series as it’s a Bangla alphabet. But Nuhash chose
this name because many pronouns ‘Murdhaya Shaw’ as ‘Pett Kata Shaw’ which is a common practice but anything like ‘Pett Kata Shaw’ really doesn’t exist at all.
Thus, what could be a better name for a series that is based on folk horror characters that no one really knows exists or not.
Chorki uploaded the 19-second teaser of the series and captioned it writing, “Is it real that Petni (witch) comes when one cooks fish and jinn (genie) comes in a sweet shop? What happens if one goes out without
tying hair? How many times Nishi actually calls? To answer all these questions Chorki original Nuhash Humayun’s series ‘Pett Kata Shaw’ is coming soon. Keep waiting... #Chorki #FilmFunFoorti #Pett_Kata_Shaw #OriginalSeries”
Through this caption and the teaser, the audience is predicting that the series might contain stories of folk horror characters like ‘Nishi’, ‘Petni (Witch)’ and ‘Jinn (genie)’. In less than just 24 hours of its release, the teaser got 4,500 views on Youtube and 28,000 views on Facebook. The teaser already created hype among the audience.
