Palak makes acting debut with Bongo’s ‘Freelancer Nadia’

State Minister for ICT Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak is all set to make his acting debut with a teledrama titled ‘Freelancer Nadia’.

The teledrama will be streamed on Bongo on its Based on Book season 2 project. Bongo is introducing season 2 of the projects after the success of BoB last year. The BoB season 2 will feature seven more original teledramas based on books.

Directed by Imraul Rafat, ‘Freelancer Nadia’ will feature Mehazbien Chowdhury in the lead role. The teledrama is based on the popular novel of journalist Rahitul Islam.

Palak will make a guest appearance in the teledrama to portray his important message on the use of ICT.

‘Freelancer Nadia’ features the story of a young woman who empowers herself by gathering ICT knowledge, and improves her family’s economic condition through her freelancing work. But her skills and strength are tested when her family faces greater tragedy.

“While I speak with young women during my visits to rural areas, I find that most of them live under the shadows of their families, in-laws or husband. However, they aspire to learn digital skills and work in local and global markets to earn a handsome amount and get better opportunities,” said Zunaid Ahmad Palak.

“Rahitul offers an exceptional example of a fighter’s journey, showcasing the transformation of traditional Bangladesh to Digital Bangladesh that we dream of, which is very inspiring,” he added.

In the last season, Palak encouraged the Bongo BoB team with his presence in the Bongo BoB limelight live session about BoB’s original ‘Charer Master’ that featured the government’s initiative of ‘Digital Bangladesh’.
