‘Golui’ teaser gets positive response

The teaser of the Dhallywood superstar Shakib Khan and Puja Cherry starrer government-funded film ‘Golui’ has received positive response from the viewers.

Directed by SA Haque Olike, the teaser was released on YouTube on Tuesday and it got 76,267 views, 7.8 thousand like and 1.6 thousand comments till Wednesday.

Juned Ahmed wrote, “Teaser of ‘Golui’ is really very impressive! When I was child I watched those types of rural movies. And I think ‘Golui’ will be the best ones and creates an example of best commercial cinema. Hope for the best of ‘Team Golui’.”

Jt Jahid wrote, “After a long time I watched the trailer of a social film.”

Md Junaid wrote, “I saw the teaser more than 10 times. In a word, I can’t take my eyes off. Really it’s an incredible teaser. This time King Khan will rock the Eid with his film ‘Golui’.”

In the teaser, Shakib was seen playing the role of Lalu, who aspires to be a dhuli, but his father wants him to be a boatman like him. Actor Subrata has played the role of Lalu’s father in the film. For this character, Shakib brought a huge change in his outlook.

As the story progresses, Lalu falls in love with an well off girl in the village named Mala, played by Puja Cherry.

The film is named after a part of the boat that is Golui, because in the film boat plays an important role.

The film has received a government grant of Tk 60 lakh for the financial year 2020-21. This is the first government grant film starring Shakib Khan. Actress Puja Cherry for the first time has acted alongside Shakib Khan. The film is based on the story of love and the lost tradition of rural Bengal.

The film also stars Azizul Hakim, Shamu Chowdhury, Jhuna Chowdhury, Shucharita and others.

The shooting of ‘Golui’ took place in Jamthal Sadarghat of Madarganj in Jamalpur. Khourshed Alam Khasru is the co-producer of the government-funded film.
