National Award-winning singer Dilshad Nahar Kona has lent her voice to a new song ‘Mon Bhalo’. Panned by Shahan Kabondho, Kona sings the song for Bappa Mazumder’s new album ‘Beautiful Voices’ which will be released Bappa Mazumder’s youtube channel on 15 April on the occasion of Kona’s birthday.
The music video of the song has been already completed under the direction of Chondon Roy Chowdhury. Regarding the song, Bappa Mazumder said, “Kona is an amazing singer. She has sung the song so beautifully that there is really nothing new to say about her singing. She had done a flawless job and Shahan also did a great work in writing the lyrics.”
“The point that I’ve said over and over again is that ‘The Beautiful Voices Season One’ album, has been possible because of the active participation of many artists, people who are involved with it. Everyone has done it from their heart. Thought it was too late to release Kona’s song, so we planned that we would release the song on her birthday and wish her all the best,” he added.
Dilshad Nahar Kona said, “Honestly, Bappa Mazumder saw me growing up. His songs are always a delight. And this new song is also delightful. But it’s true, the day the offer of this song was sent to me by him - I was afraid because the song is different from the kind of songs I sing usually. The opportunity to sing this kind of song comes less. So I made up my mind that I have to sing well and sang the song with that confidence. Bappa da was really cooperative. I hope everyone will like it. I am very grateful to him for taking the initiative to release the song on my birthday.’
Bappa Mazumder and Kona first collaborated in ‘Chokher Jole Shurjo Prodip Jole Nibhe Jole’. Written by Ferdous Hasan Rana, Bappa Mazumder tuned the song. The song was later used in the drama ‘Dahan’. Bappa later composed a number of songs, including the title song of Kona’s solo album ‘Jyamitic Bhalobasha’. After that Kona sang many more songs that were tuned by Bappa Mazumder.
