Today is Pahela Baishakh. Due to the Corona outbreak after two years, celebration of Pahela Baishakh is taking place widely. But this time, the festival has fallen during the time of Ramadan, the celebration will be in a minimalistic way. Yet celebrities will celebrate in a simple way mostly with family.
“Pahela Baishakh is a day that brings joy. It’s a day to celebrate with festivity. Usually, I have plans for the day but this time my Baishakh is going to be different,” said Siam Ahmed.
He even took a break from his work. “I am not doing anything for Baishakh. As everyone knows I am going to be a father soon and my wife is sick. So I am giving my full time to her. I am spending the whole day with my wife,” he added.
Even Bidya Sinha Saha Mim is celebrating this Baishakh at home with close friends and mostly with her family. “No special plans for the day. Some of my close friends will visit my place. Will celebrate the day with them,” said Bidya Sinha Mim. She wished everyone Shubha Nababarsha and said, “Last two were terrible years for all of us. I hope this year will be a new start for all of us. Ramadan is not a barrier in celebration rather brings a different kind of joy to all.”
This Baishakh won’t be any different for the vocalist of Chirkut Sharmin Sultana Sumi. Chirkut is not having any show on this Baishakh. “I don’t have any special plan. I am spending the whole day with my family at home,” said Sumi. She also wished everyone Shubha Nababarsha and said, “This new year I wish everyone will start thinking newly. Hope this year brings steadiness and prosperity in everyone’s life.”
Topu is a renowned musician in the country. He usually keeps plans for the Baishakh. But this year’s Baishakh will be slightly different for him as well. “After two years, Baishakh will be celebrated which is a really amazing feeling for me. I am not doing any show this time. So, I have no plans for the day but the only good thing about this Baishakh is I can go out with my daughter. Might join some friends there. I will be visiting the campus area. That’s the plan,” said Topu.
The government has instructed that This year the programmes for celebrating Pahela Baishakh must end by 2:00 pm and setting up of food stalls will not be allowed at Ramna fair premises due to Ramadan.
