Shironamhin, one of the prominent alternative fusion rock bands in the country, has announced that their mega-concert titled ‘The Only Headliner’ is going to be held at International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB), Purbachal, in the capital on May 26. The band will be collaborating with the Mumbai-based orchestra team Mumbai Symphony in the concert.
Two types of tickets, worth Tk699 (regular) and Tk1499 (VIP) will be unveiled soon for the concert.
The year-long activities to celebrate 25 years milestone of Shironamhin, is organised by Brandmyth Experiential.
The announcement was made at a press meet held at Karwan Bazar on April 13. The band members and the organisers were present at the event.
Ziaur Rahman Zia, founding member of Shironamhin said, “This will be the first time in the history of Bangladesh, where Shironamhin will be collaborating with a symphony orchestra team. No other bands in Bangladesh have ever played with an international orchestra team. Popular musicians of other bands including Turzo from Miles, Bappa Mazumdar, Bassbaba Sumon from Arthohin, Lincoln from Artcell, and Bakhtiar from Bay Bengal will play with us as guests musicians in the concert.”
“ This will be a lifetime experience for the audience. I can tell you that anyone who will come to the concert, will be leaving with tears of joy,” he added.
Kazi Ahmed Shafin, Shironamhin’s drummer-flutist-sarod player said, “ We are working hard for the last six months on this project. I can say that the audience will return from the concert with an unforgettable memory of life. It may never be possible for us to make such an arrangement like this ever again.”
“I would like to thank Branmyth Experiential for taking the risk of arranging such a big event,” he added.
Brandmyth Experiential said this is going to be one of the biggest budget concerts in the history of Bangladesh. “The best sound, stage, lights and other equipment from home and abroad will be used in the concert.”
Due to its fourth-generation LED mapping, the visualisation at the concert will be different from all others.
On the occasion of celebrating the Silver Jubilee, Shironamhin has redesigned their website and also launched their fanbase website named ‘Shironamhin Jahaji’.
Earlier, an artwork hunt ‘Aro Ekti Janala’ was also launched in which participants can express their feelings and affection for the band through their artworks. They have chances to win exclusive prizes, concert tickets, and other surprises through their participation in it.
Shironamhin was founded in 1996. The band’s debut album, ‘Jahaji,’ was released in 2004 and was a huge hit. Their other albums include ‘Ichchhe Ghuri’ in 2006, ‘Bondho Janala’ in 2009, ‘Rabindranath’ in 2010, and ‘Shironamhin’ in 2013.
