Momtaz, Belal coming up with ‘Baper Boro Pola’

After the huge acceptance of ‘Bondhu Tui Local Bus’, popular folk queen Momtaz Begum is coming up with a new video song titled ‘Baper Boro Pola’. Featuring Momtaz and Belal Khan, the video of ‘Baper Boro Pola’ has been directed by Shuvobroto Sarkar and musical arrangement of the song is done by Al Amin and Adib.  

Someshwar Oli, who is famous for the song ‘Ghuri Tumi Kar Akashe Uro’, has written the lyrics ‘Abbe Baper Boro Pola, Taar Chokh Duita Ghola Ghola, Golir Chipay Khisti Jhare, Jamar Botam Rakhe khola’.  

Apart from singing with Momtaz, Belal Khan has also composed the song. Choreographed by Ruhul Amin, Momtaz, Belal Khan, Rehnuma Mostafa, Zaher Alvi along with a group of dancers performed in the music video.

Regarding the song Momtaz Begum said, “I sang in Belal’s tune for the first time in a film ‘Nekabborer Mohaprayan ‘. For singing in this film, both of us received the National Film Award. The song ‘Baper Boro Pola’ is going to be completely different this time. The rhythmic song has been made in the style of the old Dhaka language keeping the young generation in mind. I had a lot of fun while doing the music video. I hope the audience will enjoy the song this Eid.”

Singer-composer Belal Khan said, “I have planned and composed this song keeping Momtaz Apa in mind. It could be said that this song is an attempt to connect with the young generation. I am very hopeful about the success of the song.”

‘Baper Boro Pola’ will be released on Belal Khan’s official YouTube channel on 25 April. The song will also be released on Shadin, Amazon Prime, Spotify, I-Tunes, Gaana, Saavan, GP music, and other local and international platforms.
