Audience-admired actors Fazrur Rahman Babu and Farhana Mili, will be seen together playing the role of father-daughter in an Eid special tele-drama titled ‘O Baba Ali Baba’, directed by Mahfuzur Rahman Ripon.
Fazrur Rahman Babu and Farhana Mili first appeared as father-daughter through the film ‘Monpura’ which received huge audience appreciation. Later they played the same role in the drama serial ‘Kagojer Phul’ directed by Nayem Imtiaz Neyamul.
Regarding the acting in the drama, Babu said, “Generally audiences have the expectation on Eid drama like the drama has to be funny and humorous. This drama includes these issues. Along with this, educational issues have also come up in it. Mili has been acting with me since her childhood, she is like my daughter. At the same time, the chemistry between father and daughter is so good that when I see her, I think she is my daughter.”
About acting with Mili Babu said, “Another interesting thing is that many senior and junior actresses have played the role of my wife opposite me. Many directors have offered me to act opposite Mili which means in the role of husband and wife. But I have always said that when I see her, I think she is my daughter. In that cases, I always say exclude me from the drama.”
Farhana Mili said, “Honestly, I respect Babu Bhai just like my father. Some of the directors offered us to play the role of a couple, but both of us denied acting. However, after a long time, I have worked on the Eid drama under the direction of Mahfuzar Rahman. We spent a great time in shooting.”
