The horror short film ‘Moshari’ directed by Nuhash Humayun has been selected for Marché du Film - Festival de Cannes & SITGES Festival International de Cinema Fantàstic de Catalunya’s Fantastic 7 section.

‘Moshari,’ mosquito net, stars ‘No Dorai’ famed actress Sunerah Binte Kamal and Nuhash’s niece Nairah Onora Saif as two sisters trying to survive an apocalypse.
The story of the short film revolves when the world is overrun with bloodthirsty creatures, the last of mankind persevere in Dhaka, Bangladesh by spending their nights inside the moshari - the only known shelter from the unknown threat.
Two sisters, Apu and Ayra, must navigate this strange new world to survive. However, their strained relationship is becoming as much of a threat as the dangers outside.
Launched in 2019, Fantastic 7 is designed to foster emerging filmmakers and connect them with potential business partners in Cannes for funding and co-production opportunities. Every year, seven top-notch festivals – dedicated to, or with strong traditions of, highlighting genre cinema and talents –select seven genre projects to be showcased at the Marché du Film.
The other six films featured in the ‘Fantastic Seven’ event are ‘Venus’ from Spain (Sitges-International Fantastic Film Fest of Catalonia) and ‘The Bad Mother’ (Guadalajara International Film Festival), and ‘Seoul Horror Story’ from Korea (Buchanan International) ), France / Syria’s ‘The Portal’
(Cairo International Film Festival), Canada’s ‘Dark Nature’ (Toronto International Film Festival) and ‘The Cage’ (New Zealand International Film Festival).
