Benegal’s Bangabandhu biopic to release in September

The second poster of the Bangabandhu biopic ‘Mujib: The Making of a Nation’ was unveiled on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr and the poster says the movie will be released this September.

The biopic directed by acclaimed Indian director Shyam Benegal stars Arifin Shuvoo in the role of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The Bangladesh-India joint production biopic also features Nusrat Imrose Tisha and Prarthana Fardin Dighi in vital roles.

The National Film Development Corporation of India released the poster of ‘Mujib: The Making of a Nation’ saying, “On the occasion of Eid, revealing the second poster of upcoming biopic feature film ‘Mujib - The Making of a Nation’ directed by Shyam Benegal. Arifin Shuvoo plays #Mujib. Also featuring Nusrat Imrose Tisha and Nusraat Faria / Mujib TheFilm | Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India | Bangladesh Film Development Corporation – BFDC.”

Dhaka racecourse ground but the poster didn’t show anyone’s face. The second poster features Arifin Shuvoo, playing Bangabandhu’s character. The poster also mentions the name of the artistes.

The much-anticipated teaser of the film ‘Mujib: The Making of a Nation’ will be unveiled at the Cannes Market in May.

Jannatul Sumaiya, Gazi Rakayet, Tauquir Ahmed, Dilara Zaman, Siam Ahmed, Misha Sawdagar, Sayem Samad, Raisul Islam Asad, Shahidul Alam Sacchu and Khairul Alam Sabuj are among the other cast.
