Mothers of Mir Sabbir, Aparna, Arnob honoured with ‘Gorobini Maa’

On the occasion of International Mother’s Day, Universal Medical College and Hospital awarded mothers of actor Mir Sabbir, actress Aparna Ghosh and singer Shayan Chowdhury Arnob with ‘Gorobini Maa Awards 2022’.

The award giving ceremony was held at CIRDAP auditorium in Dhaka on Sunday.

Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud handed over awards to recipients at the function in presence of the hospital’s Managing Director Dr Ashish Chakraborty. The award ceremony was presided over by Chairman of the hospital, Preety Chakraborty.

Mir Sabbir said,‘I am grateful to Dr Ashish Kumar Chakraborty for considering my deeds and bestowing such honour on my mother. Today is one of the best days of my life. Because of me, my mother was honoured. I’m proud to be her child.”

Aparna Ghosh said, “I’m thankful to God that He sent me into the world as a child of such parents. I’m grateful to Dr Ashish Kumar Chakraborty. I had known him for a long time. But I never thought

I would be evaluated in this way. The honour bestowed on my mother because of me is truly a source of great joy and love. This is the best recognition in my life.”
