‘Rickshaw Girl’ to be screened in US throughout May

Amitabh Reza Chowdhury’s critically acclaimed film ‘Rickshaw Girl’ will be exhibited in 52 cities across 18 states in the United States throughout the month of May.

The major cities that will be screening the film include New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Texas, Massachusetts, Virginia, Maryland, Florida, Ohio, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arizona, Oregon, North Carolina, Illinois, Michigan, Washington, and California.

The premiere of Rickshaw Girl was held at Manhattan’s famous movie theater ‘Village of East by Angelika’ on May 5.

Along with the film’s cast and crew, Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque and State Minister for ICT Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak attended the premiere of the film.

The film already started to gain a good response in the US. Poster of the film is visible around the roads of New York.

The making team of ‘‘Rickshaw Girl’ was even present at Jamaica Multiplex Cinemas in Queens Jamaica on Saturday’s evening show. The film will be screened at Jamaica Multiplex Cinemas in Queens Jamaica till May 12.

The film is based on the acclaimed novel by Mitali Perkins. This inspiring film tackles issues surrounding women empowerment and gender equality.

‘Rickshaw girl’ features Novera Ahmed in the lead role.
