4th season of ‘Magic Bauliana’ announced

To discover new talents of Bangla folk songs, ‘Magic Bauliana 2022’ is coming soon on Maasranga Television, initiated by Sun Foundation and sponsored by Square Toiletries Limited.

Introducing the new generation to the world of folk songs is the goal of this reality show, said a press release.

Folk music is an important part of the culture of Bangladesh. It has an appeal in all aspects of life. The nature of Bengal and human emotions come to life through the melody of folk music. ‘Magic Bauliana’ is one of the platforms to introduce this appeal of traditional folk songs to the world. 

Sun Foundation has been working on promoting the folk songs since the beginning of its journey, the organisers informed. As a continuation of this effort – which is an initiative by Sun Foundation and supported by Square Toiletries Ltd,– the folk reality show ‘Magic Bauliana’s fourth season was announced at a press conference on May 10.

Anjan Chowdhury, chairman of Sun Foundation and managing director of Maasranga Television and Square Toiletries Ltd, Malik Md Sayeed, head of operations of Square Toiletries Ltd. and others were present during the announcement.

The exceptional aspect of ‘Magic Bauliana 2022’ this time is anyone from Bangladesh and abroad can participate in the competition this year by singing Bangla folk song. Registration for the 4th Season will continue till May 26, 2022. The audition round will be held in 7 regions of Bangladesh - Dhaka, Chittagong, Sylhet, Rajshahi, Rangpur, Kushtia and Mymensingh. 

The main competition of ‘Magic Bauliana 2022’, the biggest folk reality show of Bangladesh, will start with those selected contestants. The top three contestants will be announced as the winners of Magic Bauliana 2022. The winners will be awarded with various recognitions and prizes.

Shafi Mandal, Shahnaz Belly and Arif Dewan will be the judges at the main competition. Prominent sibling artist Sandhi and Shagota – will host the studio round of the competition.
