‘Jaytu Buddha Sasanang’ airing today on BTV

Bangladesh Television is going to air a special programme titled ‘Jaytu Buddha Sasanang’ marking Buddha Purnima, the prime religious festival of Buddhists, today.

The programme will be aired simultaneously on BTV and BTV World at 8:40pm that features religious music, dance, and drama of Buddha mythology.

A part of the life of Gautama, the Buddha, has also been highlighted in the programme through the drama. Along with close-up star Nishita Barua who is known for religious music, more than two hundred artistes from ‘Dharmarajik Lalitakala Academy’ participated in the programme.

The programme was recorded on BTV studio. Dr Sumon Kanti Barua scripted and planned the programme produced by Md Sadiqul Islam Neugi Ponney.
