Audience-admired actress Rafiath Rashid Mithila and Tollywood actor Prosenjit starrer film ‘Ay Khuku Ay’ is all set to release in cinemas on June 17. Prosenjit Chatterjee will be seen in a different avatar in Sauvik Kundu’s upcoming film ‘Ay Khuku Ay’ while Mithila makes a guest appearance in the film.
The film revolves around a single father’s struggle to raise his daughter which is played by Prosenjit and Ditipriya Roy. Mithila will be seen in the character of the mother. Mithila and Prosenjit will be seen as a rural couple in this film.
The title song of the film ‘Ay Khuku Ay’ has been released recently. In that song, Mithila appeared as a new mother who had just given birth to a baby girl. After that she appears in some scenes, carrying the baby, around the veranda of the house, and in the temple of the village to take blessings for the baby.
The film was earlier set to release on May 27 but the director of the film Sauvik Kundu and Prosenjit both confirmed the change of the release date through a Facebook post.
Though Mithila has been working in the West Bengal film industry with web series but with this film Mithila will be making her debut in Tollywood films. She has also signed for Rishi Deb’s ‘Maya’, Ringo Banerjee’s ‘A River in Heaven’, and Arunava Khasnabis’s Nitishastra.
