‘Babysitter’ Farooki accompanies Tisha as she heads for Cannes

Popular actress Nusrat Imrose Tisha is attending the Cannes Film festival in France with her new born daughter Ilham to take part in the launching of trailers of her film ‘Mujib: The Making of a Nation’.

She left the country on Tuesday with husband Mostofa Sarwar Farooki and her sister to attend the 75th edition of the prestigious festival. Mostofa Sarwar Farooki in a post on his Facebook account claimed he is attending the festival to babysit Ilham.

“Traveling to Cannes as a babysitter! Tisha is going for the trailer launch of her film Mujib. And me a babysitter! Very new and beautiful role for me!,” the post reads.

Tisha and Arefin Shuvoo will attend the unveiling of the teaser of much-awaited film titled ‘Mujib: The Making of a Nation’ based on Bangabandhu’s life directed by veteran Indian filmmaker Shyam Benegal in the Marché du Film Commercial Branch at the Indian pavilion today.

Arifin Shuvoo, National Award winner as the best actor for the film ‘Dhaka Attack,’ has played the title role of the film while Tisha played the character of Fazilatunnesa Mujib, the wife of Bangabandhu, in this biopic.

Jannatul Sumaiya, Gazi Rakayet, Tauquir Ahmed, Dilara Zaman, Siam Ahmed, Misha Sawdagar, Sayem Samad, Raisul Islam Asad, Shahidul Alam Sacchu and Khairul Alam Sabuj are among the other cast.

The biopic is a co-production of the governments of India and Bangladesh.
