Documentary on Bangabandhu submitted to censor board

Tanvir Mokammel’s full-length documentary on Bangabandhu titled ‘Modhumati Parer Manushti: Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’ has been submitted to the censor board.

The documentary on the life of the iconic leader of Bangladesh has been made based on the research and collection of historic footage from home and abroad. Director Tanvir Mokammel himself did all the research before filming.

After researching the life and activities of Bangabandhu, the documentary has been shot in Tungipara, Gopalganj, Faridpur, Dhanmondi 32, Jail in Old Dhaka and different parts of Kolkata.

Uttam Guha, Syed Sabab Ali Arju, Sagir Mostafa and Rana Masood were the assistant directors of the documentary. Rakibul Hasan was the cinematographer of the film. The documentary is funded by the government of Bangladesh.

Tanvir Mokammel is a well-known filmmaker and writer. In 2017, he was awarded the Ekushey Padak. For the films Nodir Naam Modhumoti (1995), Chitra Nodir Pare (1999), and Lalsalu (2001), he received National Film Awards.
