Asaduzzaman Noor, who became a legend by playing the role of Baker Bhai in the drama ‘Kothao Keo Nei’, has returned to acting with a new government
granted film titled ‘Chader Amabasya’ after a long break. Based on Syed Waliullah’s novel ‘Chader Amabasya’, the film has been directed by Zahidur Rahman Anjan.
The shooting of the film took place at some places in Manikganj and Munshiganj. Dubbing and sound work of the film is currently underway.
Apart from Asaduzzaman Noor, the cast also includes Iresh Zaker, Tanay, Deepanwita Martin, Shahnaz Sumi, and others.
Asaduzzaman Noor was last seen on the big screen in the film ‘Noy Nombor Bipod Shongket’ directed by Humayun Ahmed in 2007. His performance in Humayun Ahmed’s film ‘Aguner Poroshmoni’ left the audience spellbound.
The film got National Film Award in 1994. He starred in the film ‘Shongkhonil Karagar (1992)’. Later, he appeared in the films, ‘Chandrakatha (2003)’, ‘Noy Number Bipod Shanket (2007)’, and ‘Daruchini Dwip (2007)’ as a supporting actor; and ‘Ghetu Putro Komola (2012)’ and ‘Sutopar Thikana (2015)’ as narrator.
Asaduzzaman Noor started his acting career with the Nagorik theatre troop in 1972.
He acted over 600 times for this troop in 15 different plays. He also directed two plays, namely ‘E Mor Ohonkar’ and ‘Dewan Gazir Kissa’. He also wrote plays for theatre and television.
