Anchor turned actress Elina Shammi is passing a busy time with her films which are awaiting to see its release.
She has played the role of Begum Khaleda Zia in the biopic film ‘Mujib: The Making of Nation’ which is awaiting its release in September.
Now she is working on her upcoming films ‘Apur Bashanta’ directed by Mirza Shakhawat Hossain, ‘Chaitra Dupur’ directed by Jasmine Aktar Nodi, ‘Jolrong’ directed by Apurba Rana, ‘Radio’ directed by Ananna Mamun, ‘Chhayabrikkho’ directed by Bondhon Biswas, ‘Moddhobitto’ directed by Tanvir Hasan.
Regarding working on films, Shammi said, “In every film, I have worked with a lot of hope and aspirations. Because I agreed to work on each of the films after reading script. Whenever I started working, I tried to present myself according to the character. I am very optimistic about ‘Mujib’, ‘Tungiparar Dusshahoshi Khoka’, ‘Chaitra Dupur’, and ‘Apur Bashanto’.The story of the film ‘Jolrang’ about human trafficking is also very beautiful.”
“Honestly, I am optimistic about all the films I have completed. I am very lucky that the audiences have loved my work in the web film ‘Janowar’ directed by Raihan Rafi, ‘Gontobbo’ directed by Aranna Polash, and ‘Kosai’ directed Ananna Mamun”, she added.
Elina Shammi told that she missed the anchoring badly. Although she did not give up the anchoring completely, she said that she would gladly do it if get the opportunity on any big platform.
Meanwhile, she acted in the drama ‘The Shoe Box’ directed by Tanim Rahman Angshu last Eid.
