Shah Rukh Khan put an end to all speculations as he dropped a one-minute thirty second teaser for his upcoming Atlee film ‘Jawan’ on Friday, reports Hindustan Times.
The teaser confirms the film’s title and also gives fans first look at Shah Rukh’s new look for the much-anticipated film. Fans have reacted with excitement to the announcement.
The teaser opens with a glimpse of the Northern Lights over mountain tops. We then see Shah Rukh with his face in the dark, wrapping bandages on his face as the film’s theme plays in the background. Still shrouded in darkness, he then removes a tarpaulin from a table in the shed he is in to reveal weapons. We then get a glimpse of him shooting at the camera. The next shot gives the first good look at Shah Rukh, sitting with a gun in his hand, face still wrapped in bandages.
A walkie talkie buzzes in the teaser with a female voice saying, “Good to go, chief!” At this, we get a close-up of Shah Rukh’s face as he laughs and says, “Ready!” The film’s title then appears on screen in various languages. The last shot of the teaser shows Shah Rukh sitting on a bench at what appears to be a train station. As a train passes, he sees his dark reflection in the window panes.
This is the third film Shah Rukh has announced in the last six months--after ‘Pathaan’ and ‘Dunki’. This comes after he has had no releases since ‘Zero’ in 2018.
Shah Rukh had been rumored to be working with ‘Atlee’ for a few months now. However, neither the actor or the director had commented on it. The two had been spotted together several times and Shah Rukh had even been pictured filming in April with his face in bandages. Over the last two days, several reports had claimed that the film was called ‘Jawan’ and a teaser was to be released soon.
