Chorki is coming up with a new anthology film, ‘Ei Muhurte’. In this film, directors Piplu R Khan, Mejbaur Rahman Sumon and Abrar Athar are coming with three contemporary stories. This is the first time the three directors will be seen working together in a single project.
“I was very nervous while working with director Piplu and Sumon. It was also challenging and exciting for me. I learned a lot while doing this film. Each of us has a very different storytelling approach. Here, we tried to work on contemporary issues. We have tried to portray what is constantly happening in front of our eyes through a unique artistic perspective. I hope, the audience will enjoy watching it,” said Abrar Athar.
“After 12 long years, I’m working with a fictional story that through an anthology project. Apart from this, another film of mine will release soon. I am having a wonderful time,” said Mejbaur Rahman Sumon.
“The best thing about this project is – we three worked together. Through this work, we had a chance to exchange our thoughts a lot. People might think it’s something that can be easily happened while having chitchat but this happens way faster when we worked together,” he added.
“This film is very interesting for two reasons. First, the film gives a perspective to look at the deep wounds or flaws in society as we see it. Second, it was a sensible and sensitive project. The three of us have tried to come up with a fictional explanation of what happened in the past,” said Piplu earned fame with ‘Hasina: A Daughter’s tale’.
“This is my first time working with fiction. The social awareness that this project has is very much up to date issues. ‘Ei Muhurte’ is a story of the defeat of a society which we want to take to the audience with a creative approach,” he said.
