‘My daughters never fail to impress me on my birthdays’

Today marks the birthday of National Award-winning actor Ferdous Ahmed who has won the hearts of the audience with his film ‘Hothat Bristi’ in 1998.

On his birthday, Ferdous usually likes to spend time with his family. “No matter how much busy I remain, I always take a day off on my birthday to spend the day with my two daughters. Nuzhat and Namira never fail to surprise me on my birthday. This year my brother’s daughter will also be here with us. So, they will plan some extra surprise for me, I guess,” he said.

Asked about his resolution on his birthday, Ferdous said, “I want to continue doing good work. I hope everyone will keep me in their prayers and love.”

“My fans always send me sweet wishes and bouquets on my birthday. That’s one of the things I love about my birthday,” he also added.

Ferdous started his career in the media industry through ramp modelling. Though he made his debut with the film ‘Buker Vitor Agun’ directed by Chotku Ahmed, he came into limelight with the film ‘Hothat Bristi’ directed by acclaimed Indian director Basu Chatterjee. Ferdous won the National Film Award for the film.

Right now, he is shooting for a film in Gazipur which will continue till June 11.

He has seven government granted films titled ‘Maniker Lal Kakra’, ‘Khoma Nei’, ‘Dampara,1971 ‘Seisob Din’, ‘Rasel er Opekkha’, ‘Mic’ and ‘Beauty Circus’ in the pipeline.
