Government-funded film ‘Chander Amabashya’, based on the novel of Syed Waliullah, directed by Zahidur Rahman Rajnan, is expected to hit the theatres on the birth anniversary of Syed Waliullah which is in August. The shooting and post production of the film has completed recently.
The director took his Facebook handle to share the news.
Through this film, veteran actor Asaduzzaman Noor is returning to silver screen after 15 years.
Asaduzzaman Noor played the role of Afzal Chowdhury in the film. Besides, Tanay Biswas played the role of Aref Ali, Iresh Jaker played the role of Kader Mia, Shahana Sumi played the role of Anwara, and Dwipannita Martin played the role of young woman.
The story of the film revolves around Aref Ali.
Aref Ali, a poor young man, got a job in a school in Durgram with the accommodation facility was in a big house which belongs to Afzal Chowdhury. Afzal’s younger brother Kader Mia is a little different from the others.
On a bright moonlit winter night, the young teacher Aref Ali follows Kader Mia and discovers a dead body of a young woman. He realised that Kader Mia had killed the young woman. Kader Mia seeks his help to hide the murder. Young Aref Ali fell into the dilemma between justice and injustice. The film progresses with this dilemma.
Asaduzzaman Noor was last seen on the big screen in the film ‘Noy Nombor Bipod Shongket’ directed by Humayun Ahmed in 2007.
He acted over 600 times for theatre troupe Nagarik in 15 different plays. He also directed two plays, namely ‘E Mor Ohonkar’ and ‘Dewan Gazir Kissa’. He also wrote plays for theatre and television.
