The trailer of Mejbaur Rahman Sumon’s much-awaited film ‘Hawa’ was released on Tuesday evening triggering a stir among the Bangladeshi movie lovers.
Its mysterious storyline, diversified characters, and good cinematography instantly drew the attention of the audience and their reaction on social media reflected that the movie might meet their thirst for a good cinema.
Mejbaur is making his directorial debut on the silver screen.
The trailer was released on the official Facebook page of ‘Hawa’ and the official YouTube channel of Face Card Production.
The trailer starts with the scene of eight fishermen looking at a woman curiously on trawler and Chanchal asking ‘Which boat do you come from?’ The character of the mysterious woman is played by Nazifa Tushi. With her mysterious yet attractive look, she caught the attention of the netizens.
The look of the Chanchal Chowdhury and Shariful Razz in the trailer has also been praised by the audience.
The trailer looks promising as it perfectly shows the majestic sea in an enigmatic way through the cinematography.
According to the director, this is not the story of the struggle of the fishermen rather it is the story of modern fairy tales. The story is the modern representation of the mythology-based on water. The story of the film revolves around the journey of eight fishermen and a woman into the deep sea.
The film was shot in Cox’s Bazar and Saint Martin’s island for 40 consecutive days in October 2019. Jahin Faruk Amin, Sukarna Shahed Dhiman, and Mejbaur Rahman Sumon have written the script of the film based on the story and dialogue of Mejbaur Rahman Sumon.
The film was shot by Kamrul Hasan Khasru, edited by Sajal Alok and background music is done by Rashid Sharif Shoaib. Earlier, the poster of the film created hype on the internet due to its interesting design.
The film stars Chanchal Chowdhury, Nazifa Tushi, Shariful Islam Razz, Sumon Anowar, Shohel Mondol, Nasir Uddin Khan, Abdul Jabbar Chowdhury, Mahmud Hasan, and Bablu Bose in the main roles.
The film is expected to hit the theatres soon.
