Marking the 66th birth anniversary of renowned musician Lucky Akhand, unreleased song of Lucky Akhand ‘She Gaaner-E Paakhi’ was published on Tuesday evening at a hotel in the capital.
Written by Golam Murshed, the track ‘She Gaaner-E Paakhi’ which remained unreleased for the last 20 years, is sung by popular singer Mehreen Mahmud.
The launching ceremony was held on Tuesday at a hotel in the capital, where the top musicians of the country gathered together.
Speaking on the occasion with chief guest State Minister for Cultural Affairs K M Khalid put emphasis on promoting Lucky Akhand’s creations to the wider audience of Bangla music on a global scale.
Navidul Huq, co-founder and director of Bongobd.com, trustee of Annisul Huq Foundation, and director of Mohammadi Group attended the programme as the special guest.
The celebration of the 66th birth anniversary of Lucky Akhand was commenced by cutting a birthday cake. Footage of the song’s video and video footage of Lucky Akhand’s memoirs was shown at the event. Then Golam Murshed, Mehreen, Foad Naser Babu, and flutist Ustad Azizul Islam, Maqsoodul Haque and Dr. Rubaiyat Rahman reminisced the good old days.
The programme was also attended by Maksudul Haque, Hamin Ahmed, Bappa Majumder, Sharmin Lucky, Labu Rahman, Sheikh Shahed Ali, Rumon of Parthib and Sumon from Pentagon, Nipo, Tanvir Alam Sajib, Enamul Karim Nirjhar, Tarun Munshi and Nafiz Kamal, among others.
The honourable guests released the audio and video of the song ‘Se Ganer e Pakhi’ on Mehreen’s own YouTube channel.
‘Se Gaaner-E Pakhi’ has been arranged by Rupak. Produced by Limelight Studios, the music video is directed by Tajwar Yakin and S K Naeem. The video production features artistes Nazifa Ayat and Tasnuva.
In association with Annisul Huq Foundation and Shilpir Pashe Foundation, the event devised by Go-Girl and funded by the Fans of Lucky Akhand was supported by Bengal Plastics, Swapna, Home Tex, Preview Genesis, Yami Cake and RadioToday.
