Alliance Française de Dhaka has organised a twelve-day exhibition titled ‘Brahmi to Bangla’ by Sabyasachi Hazra at its premises.

The inaugural ceremony of the exhibition will be held on June 14 June at 5.00 pm at its La Galerie. With the exhibition ‘Brahmi to Bangla’ and the publication ‘O - In the Quest of Bangla Typography’, Sabyasachi mainly presented his experience of understanding the evolution of Bengali letters to the young artists and the eager audience. He hopes the young artists will carry forward this quest and will fulfil the shortcomings of this publication in future.

This publication and exhibition are presented at the crucial juncture of the golden jubilee of Bangladesh, the seventieth anniversary of language movement and the bicentennial of Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar, the torch bearer in shaping modern Bengali language.

The exhibition will be open to all Monday to Saturday from 3:00pm to 9:00pm till June 25. Closed on Sundays.
