Sisimpur started the shooting of its 15th season at Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC), Kawran Bazar in the capital. Consisting of 26 episodes, the 15th season will emphasize topics like ensuring equal opportunities and participation for all children.
The season will have all the popular characters of Sisimpur such as Tuktuki, Halum the Bengal Tiger, Ikri Mikri, and Shiku. Along with them, this season will also have Asha, Guni Moyra, and other characters created by Sisimpur. This season is going to bring another new character who is not revealed yet.
This season will be covering various awareness topics like language, caste, mathematics, autism, and social and team relationship. In addition, episodes of this season will also cover issues like controlling emotions and self-control, imagination capacity and overcoming obstacles, gender inequality, and many more.
Along with the popular characters from Sisimpur on the eve of the new season’s shooting at FDC, Senior Vice President of Sesame Workshop Bangladesh John Jepsen, Vice President Daniel Labin, Director Teresa Wolverton, USAID Education Office Director Sonjai Reynolds-Cooper, Dr Uttam Kumar Das, director (Training) from the Directorate of Primary Education, Member of the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NSTB) Professor Dr AKM Reazul Hassan, USAID Education Advisor Sudeb Kumar Biswas and Mohammad Shah Alam, Managing Director of Sesame Workshop Bangladesh were present at that time.
Funded by USAID Sisimpur, it has been working since 2005 intending to make children everywhere more accomplished, stronger, and more compassionate as part of its pre-primary child development program. The Ministry of Women and Children Affairs is assisting in broadcasting the Sisimpur program and the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education is assisting in school-based activities.
