Konal sings ‘Mayar Chador’ on Jitu’s composition

Singer Konal lent her voice for a movie song ‘Mayar Chador’ on composition of Abhijit Sarkar Jitu. Tanjib Sarowar also lent his voice as a co-artiste in this song.

Written by Shejul Hossain, the song ‘Mayar Chador’ is from Mehedi Hasan’s next film ‘Jol Jyotsna’.

The shooting for the film started recently and the recording of the song was finished before the shooting started.

“I was thinking of Konal while I was making the song as she usually sings similar kind of songs. After
the recording, all I can say is that the song was meant to be sung by Konal. Konal did a brilliant work while singing the song. Tanjib also did an amazing work while singing. I’m hopeful that audience will appreciate the song,” said Jitu.

Although, Konal sang jingles composed by Jitu earlier but this is the first time she did playback for a film which is composed by Jitu.

“Jitu always makes a very beautiful melody. This is the first time Tanjib and I sang together. ‘Mayar Chador’ is a very sweet romantic song. I enjoyed it a lot, singing ‘Mayar Chador’. I hope the audience will like it too,” said Konal.

Konal debuted in the entertainment industry by winning reality show Channel i Shera Kontho in 2009. Since then she has recorded songs for dozens of films and hosted various television shows.

Konal won Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer for her song ‘Bhalobashar Manush Tumi’ for the film ‘Bir’.
