Chorki releases Sajjad’s ‘Sahosh’ today

Director Sajjad Khan is releasing his film ‘Sahosh’ on OTT platform Chorki. The film is having an uncut release today on the OTT platform.

‘Sahosh’ is a story of Nila and Rayhan who turn around overcoming all the obstacles and moves forward. The whole film is made in the local accent of Bagerhat.

Mostafizur Noor Imran will be seen playing Rayhan and Nazia Haque Orsha will be seen playing Nila in the film.

“Bagerhat is the town where I brought up. If I talk from an artiste’s perspective, roaming around the city was an amazing feeling for me. People of Bagerhat usually don’t witness a shooting, specially shooting of a cinema. People there enjoyed the shooting very much,” said Mostafizur Noor Imran.

Bagerhat is the birth place of Imran. Thus, during the shooting, he got a huge support from the locals. “During the whole shooting time, I got a huge support from my family, friends and especially from the Repertory Theatre. Because of their support, I got the courage to complete the film and the whole shooting unit, co-artistes and the director was amazing. They made the work so easy,” he added.

“I enjoy working in this kind of scripts as these are different from the stories of recent time films. It’s rare to see a film that fits with the local culture and thoughts. I’m lucky to work in such a project,” said Nazia Haque Orsha.

“I was really nervous at the beginning but with the help of all, I learnt the local accent of Bagerhat for the film and worked along with that. I’m not sure how much the audience will appreciate it but I tried to give my best,” she added.

Khairul Basar will also have a short sceentime in this film but will be playing an important and mystic role. Along with Orsha, Imran, and Khairul Basar, the film casts Khalid Mahbub Turjo, Safin Sunny, Rajesh Sen, Rizia Parveen, Shahed Rana and others.
