3rd Cinemaking Int’l Film Fest in Dhaka, December

The 3rd phase of Cinemaking International Film Festival (CIFF) will be held this December in Bangladesh. More than a thousand films from around 100 countries have been submitted for this season’s CIFF.

According to the festival director Monjurul Islam Megh, this year’s festival will be dedicated to the Prime Minister as the country’s biggest mega project has been implemented successfully. The slogan for the 3rd CIFF will be ‘Bisshoykor Padma Setu Shawpnebuna, Manoniyo Prodhan Mantri Sheikh Hasina’.

This time the theme of the festival is going to be based on ‘Padma Bridge’. “We want to highlight Padma Bridge on the festival posters, so we are asking the graphics designers to send designs for the poster, the best-designed poster will be featured as the official poster of the festival,” said Monjurul Islam Megh.

The poster designer will be awarded at the festival. The 1st Cinemaking International Film Festival 2020 was dedicated to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman to mark the Mujib year where 54 countries participated in the competition with 177 films.

The 2nd Cinemaking International Film Festival was dedicated to the freedom fighters. 121 Countries participated with 600 films in that festival and more than a thousand films were submitted.

Cinemaking International Film Festival is one of the Largest Film festivals in South Asia. The Cinemaking International Film Festival started its journey in 2018 to feature good films, introduce Bengali films to the world and introduce Bangladeshi audiences to the cultures of different countries. However, the CIFF first edition was held from 24th to 26th December 2020 at Masud Moncho, Dhaka in Bangladesh.
