Vicky begins prep to become Field Marshal Manekshaw

Vicky Kaushal officially announced on Tuesday that he is beginning to take preparation for the biopic of ‘Sam Bahadur’ directed by Meghna Gulzar. The film also stars Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh in pivotal roles, reports Pinkvilla.

Vicky took to Instagram to post a photo of the film’s screenplay as well as some photos that the actor was given to help him get into character as he is playing Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw in the film. Sharing the post, Vicky captioned it, “Here we go… Prep starts!!! SAMBAHADUR @meghnagulzar @rsvpmovies.”

The film is a biopic of India’s first Field Marshal, Sam Manekshaw, who served as the country’s army chief during Bangladesh’s liberation war in 1971.

Fatima Sana Shaikh will be seen playing the character of Indira Gandhi in the film and Sanya Malhotra will be playing the role of Sam Manekshaw’s wife Siloo Manekshaw.

Along with Gulzar and Shantany Sruvastava, Bhavani Iyer, who wrote ‘Raazi’, has also penned the script of ‘Sam Bahadur’.
