Arnob, Sovvota to perform at AFD on June 27

Shayan Chowdhury Arnob and Karishma Sanu Sovvota will be performing at a fund raising concert for the flood victims at the Dhanmondi branch of Alliance Française de Dhaka on June 27.

The Alliance Française de Dhaka and community organisation Daahuk are organising the special musical programme to raise funds to rebuild houses at flood affected areas of Sunamganj.

The entry fee for the concert will be Tk 1,000 and the concert will start at 7:00pm.

All the money raised at the concert will be donated for rebuilding houses for the flood victims.

Karishma Sanu Sovvota confirmed the news by sharing the event on her Facebook handle and wrote, “We will sing to help the people of Sunamganj at 7:00pm on 27th June at Alliance Frances de Dhaka (Dhanmondi)”.

She also mentioned that ‘Arnob and Friends’ will also be performing at the event.

Many houses have been demolished in Sunamganj because of the massive flood. As soon as the floodwaters recede, the plan is to rebuild houses. The work of rebuilding the houses will start from Tahirpur, a remote area in the flood-hit Sunamganj region; later this initiative will be spread to the entire district.

Arnob and Sovvota recently worked together in the song ‘Bulbuli’. While Arnob curated and produced the song, Sovvota was a part of the chorus singers.
