Theme song on Padma Bridge releases tomorrow

The official theme song for the grand opening of the Padma Bridge will be released on BTV after the inauguration of the Padma Bridge tomorrow.

The song is sung by ten eminent singers including Sabina Yasmin, Rafiqul Alam, Kumar Bishwajit, Rezwana Choudhury Bannya, Momtaz Begum, Dilshad Nahar Kona, Bappa Mazumder, Imran Mahmudul and Nishita Barua.

Kishore Das composed the song on the lyrics by Kabir Bakul.

The music video of the song was made by the initiative of the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges, and the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.

The theme song goes like: “Tumi abichal, drirha pratijna, tumi dhumketu, Bangabandhu diyechhen desh, tumi dile Padma Setu.”

Thanking lyricist Kabir Bakul for writing the lyrics of the song, Kishore told UNB, “The biggest appreciation goes to the lyricist of this song, Kabir Bakul Bhai - under whose supervision this huge task was successfully completed. We all witnessed and explored this extraordinary emotion, standing on the Padma Bridge for this historic creation.”

The lyrics of the song are available on Kishore’s official Facebook page.

Another song titled ‘Padma Setu’ is sung by Ankhi Alamgir, Kishore, Rajib, Sabbir Zaman, Konal and Zhilik. This song is also an initiative from BTV. The song was written by Mokam Ali Khan and composed by Milton Khandakar.

Apart from this, Momtaz Begum also sung a solo song titled ‘Padma Setu’. The song was written by Hasan Motiur Rahman and composed by Emon Chowdhury.
