A two-day National Instrumental Music Festival was held on Wednesday and Thursday at the Music and Dance auditorium of the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, Segun Bagicha in the city.

Under the direction and planning of the Director General of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy Liaquat Ali Lucky, the audiences were entertained by the performances of eminent and renowned instrumental music artists of Bangladesh during the two-day National Instrumental Music Festival.

Organized by Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy and managed by the Department of Music, Dance and Recitation, Kazi Aftab Uddin Hablu, Director of Music, Dance and Recitation Department was in overall charge of the programme.

Hosted by Jannatul Ferdousi Liza, Pandit Kumar Bose, Tungtang, Rubab and Ashikur Rahman, Kumaresh, Syed Meher Hossain, Pallab Sanyal, Sushen Kumar Md. Nuruzzaman, Anupam Biswas, Matiar Rahman, Fahal Hossain Golandaj, Md Kamrul, Upendra Nath, Ilham, Fuljhuri, Isra Fuljhuri, Md. Hasan, Md. Sohail, Md. Kashem, Md. Moniruzzaman, Narayan Dev Liton, Debashish Das, Md. Kafil Uddin, Tushar Kanti Sarkar, Ziaul Abedin, Zinnia Jafrin, Jyoti Banerjee, Abhishek, Sayem, Ashiq, and Ujjwal performed on the opening day of the festival on Tuesday.

Renowned composer Sheikh Sadi Khan attended the closing day programme as a discussant. Nasir Uddin, Rahin, Sunil Chandra Das, Md Hasan, Ebadul Haque Saikat, Sukla Haldar, Soumit Debnath Rick, Md. Yousuf Khan, Murtaza Kabir Murad, Alauddin Mia, Monwar Hossain, and others were performed on the closing day.
