Badhon turns up ‘Best Actress’ at Cinema Jove

Abdullah Mohammad Saad directorial ‘Rehana Maryam Noor’ has won the ‘Best Feature Film’ award, while Azmeri Haque Badhon won the ‘Best Actress’ award for her performance in the film at the 37th edition of the Valencia International Film Festival– Cinema Jove.

Badhon shared the news on her Facebook handle and she also thanked the organisers for this award.

The actress is now in Valencia in Spain to participate in the film festival.

‘Rehana Maryam Noor’ has already received a lot of positive feedback from critics and audiences all around the world.

The film has also made its entry into the Oscars race as Bangladesh’s official submission in the ‘Best International Feature Film Category’.

Badhan, the lead actress of the film recently won the Best Actress award at the 14th Asia Pacific Screen Awards while director Saad won the Jury Grand Prize.

Along with Badhon, the ensemble cast of ‘Rehana Maryam Noor’ includes Saberi Alam, Afia Zahin, Kazi Sami Hasan, Afia Tabassum and Yasir Al Haque.
